climbing mountains
I took this action camera headset on a 6-hour mountain hike yesterday, and it totally exceeded my expectations! The first thing that surprised me was how stable it stayed—even when I was climbing steep rock faces or jumping over streams, it never slipped or shifted. No more fumbling with my phone to capture views; a quick tap on the side button started recording instantly, which was a game-changer when I spotted a sudden 云海 (sea of clouds) at the mid-mountain.
The 140° wide-angle lens caught every detail of the winding trails and distant peaks, and the EIS stabilization worked brilliantly—no shaky footage at all despite all the walking and climbing. The bone conduction audio was another win: I could listen to my hiking playlist while clearly hearing my friend’s calls from behind and the rustle of leaves, which made the trip safer and more enjoyable.
Battery life held up well for the full hike, lasting around 5 hours with mixed recording and music playback. The IPX6 waterproof rating also came in handy when a light rain hit—no worries about water damage at all. If I had to pick a flaw, the low-light performance isn’t perfect; footage got a bit grainy when we descended through shaded forests late afternoon. But overall, it’s the perfect hiking companion for anyone who wants to document adventures hands-free without sacrificing audio.
